Connecting via the DB9
To make a local connection to the NetGuardian 480, use the provided DB9M-DB9F cable to connect the COM
port of your PC to the front panel craft port of the NetGuardian 480. (See Figures 11 & 12.)

Installation Instructions
An integral part of the NetGuardian 480 is T/NG480, a Windows utility that provides a single, uniform interface
for all the functions of the unit. Using T/NG480, you can monitor alarm points and control relays, analyze
network traffic between the NetGuardian 480 and its alarm collection master, and load firmware updates.
