Writing to NVRAM
Click the Write To Unit button to make changes to NVRAM. The Smart write option only changes configuration
changes made in the most recent T/NG480 session. The Full write option is slower, but will overwrite the entire
database.
Any changes to the NetGuardian 480 configuration will NOT take effect until you click the Write button in the
toolbar and reboot the unit. The Write button will save all changes you have made to the configuration and will
erase any previous settings.

Reading from NVRAM
Click the Read From Unit button to read changes to NVRAM. The Smart read option only reads configuration
changes made in the most recent T/NG480 session. The Full read option is slower, but will read the entire
database.
8.13
Reboot
If you have made any changes to the T/NG480 configuration, you will be asked if you would like to save these
changes to your PC's hard disk. Click Yes to save all changes made to the configuration. Click No to cancel the
save procedure.
