Date/Time Tab
The NetGuardian 480 features a real-time clock which establishes a timeframe for each alarm based on your
local settings. Each time an alarm occurs, a time-date stamp will be included with the SNMP trap, giving you an
accurate point-of-occurrence reference.
The NetGuardian 480 clock will also remember the current date and time settings in case a system reboot is
necessary.
The current date/time setting is shown in the "Current Date/Time on NG480" display at the top of the window.
You can configure the clock manually or by clicking on the Sync With Local PC button.
To set the real-time clock, follow these steps:
1. Choose the Date/Time tab.
2. Click Sync With Local PC, to sync NetGuardian 480 time with your PC date and time. To manually update
NetGuardian 480 settings, use the drop-down menus to select the Date, Time and Day of Week.
3. Click Update Date/Time to save the settings.
4. Verify that the NetGuardian 480's clock has been updated with your new settings by checking the date/time
displayed in the "Current Date/Time" display.
