8.5.2
Alarms Tab
All 80 discrete alarms are configured from the Alarms tab. Short (30 characters maximum) descriptions of the
individual alarm points may be entered in the description fields. This is an optional step, but very useful for
pinpointing alarms.
Polarity may be set to Normal or Reversed. Normal polarity sets the usual operation of the alarm point.
Reversed polarity reverses the usual operation of the alarm point—for example, an alarm that is usually triggered
when a door is opened can be set to trigger when the door is closed.
8.5.3
Relays Tab
All 4 relays are configured from the Relays tab. Short (30 characters maximum) descriptions of the individual
alarm points may be entered in the description field for each relay. This is an optional step, but very useful.
