3.4 Continuity

Method: Voltage-current method according to EN 61557-4 (ed. 02/97)
Open-circuit Voltage: 12.4V
Short-circuit Current: > 200mA
Maximum Voltage Surge:
1200V
for 10 seconds between the "+" and "-" terminals
AC/DC
660V
between the "G" and "-" or "G" and "+" terminals
AC/DC
Test Lead Compensation:
R∆ is measured for the test leads in short-circuit when in the SET-UP menu
(see § 2.5.7), this value is stored and subtracted from all continuity measure-
ments. The compensation is limited to 5Ω.
R displayed = R measured - R∆
Continuity Measurement Range: 0.01 to 39.99Ω
Resolution: 0.01Ω
Operating Current:
>200mA from 0.01 to 20.00Ω and > 140mA from 20.01 to 39.99Ω
Accuracy: ± 3% R ± 4cts
Maximum Inductive Load: 5 hrs without damage to the instrument
Maximum Serial Mode Voltage:
3V
; measurement is prohibited above this value
AC/DC

3.5 Resistance

Method: Voltage-current measurement
