POSSIBLE CAUSE
Main jet dirty. Carburetion lean
Water in carburettor

Fuel supply circuit faulty
Idling jet dirty
Starting device stays activated
Spark plug faulty or spark advance incorrect
Compression end pressure too low
Idle speed wrongly tuned
Cut-off device broken
Incorrect timing
Air filter clogged or dirty

Fuel pump faulty
Jets loose
Float level incorrect

NTERVENTION
Wash the jet with solvent and then dry it with
compressed air
Empty the float chamber using the specially
designed drain screw
Restore the level in the float chamber by
bending the fuel inlet needle thrust blade on
the float so that the float is parallel with the
chamber surface when the carburettor is in
an upside-down position.
Check and if necessary replace the pump
and the one-way valve. Check the duct seal
and the vacuum connection
Wash in solvent and dry with compressed
air.
Check: electrical connections, circuit conti-
nuity, mechanical sliding and power supply;
replace as necessary
Replace the spark plug or check the ignition
circuit components.
Check thermal unit seals and replacy any
worn parts.
Tune up using a rev counter
Check the operation of the valve, membrane
and spring; check if the air adjusters and the
sponge filter are clean
Restore correct timing and check timing sys-
tem parts.
Remove the sponge, wash it in water and
shampoo, and then soak it in a 50 percent
mixture of petrol and a specific oil (Selenia
Air Filter Oil). Squeeze the sponge between
the hands without twisting, allow it to drip and
then replace it.
Check electrical connections, circuit continu-
ity, mechanical sliding, and power supply
Check that there is no fuel in the vacuum duct
Check that the main and idling jets are se-
curely seated
Restore the level in the float chamber by
bending the fuel inlet needle thrust blade on
the float so that the float is parallel with the
chamber surface when the carburettor is in
an upside-down position.
Check for the presence of grease on the
clutch weights
Check that the area of contact of the clutch
weights with the bell housing is chiefly at the
centre and equivalent for the three weights
Check that the bell housing is not scored or
abnormally wor
