Establishing a Remote Telnet Connection

You can access a remote Passport 4400 if your Dial-Up Networking function is up
and the IP address is properly configured.

Prerequisites

Before establishing the remote Telnet connection, ensure that you have satisfied
the following prerequisites:
• Microsoft Dial-Up Networking must be installed on your workstation before
you can establish a remote Telnet session.

Type at the Login prompt, then press Enter.

Note: New Passport 4400 units are shipped with a null password. If the
Passport 4400 that you are configuring has been assigned a password, you
will enter it here.
