measured values for a second per-
son (see 5.1 "Saving the measured
values").
In order to switch off the device,
press the blue START/STOP button.
Otherwise the device will switch
itself off automatically after 3 min-
utes.

5. Setting the memory function

5.1 Saving the measured values

The device features two memory
buttons, M1 and M2, to store rea-
dings for two different persons. M1
represents the measured values for
a first person and M2 repre-sents
the measured values for a second
person.
When a beep indicates the end of
measurement, you may press M1 or
M2 to apply the measured value to
the respective person. This assign-
ment can be made as long as the
values are displayed. If you do not
apply them, the measured value is
automatically stored to the display-
ed memory.
5.2 Recalling the measured
values
The device must be switched off to
recall data from memory. Press M1
for the first person's stored values
and M2 for the second person's
values. The corresponding symbols
M1 or M2 will be displayed.
First, the mean value of all stored
values for a person will be dis-
played. An "A" (for the designation
"Average") appears on the display
and the number displayed in the
top right-hand corner indicates the
number of measurements, from
which the average value was calcu-
lated (see fig.).
