Note
The maximum playback speed in jog mode is determined by item 0012:
Jog Dial Response of the CP Setup mode.

To end jog playback, stop turning the search dial.
Note
Pressing the search dial in jog mode switches to the shuttle or variable mode.
Which mode the jog mode switches to depends on the previous selected mode.
Use the following procedure for playback in shuttle mode.

Press the SHUTTLE button to turn it on.
Each time you push the search dial it toggles between jog and shuttle
modes. According to the currently selected mode, the JOG or SHUTTLE
button lights.
Immediately after turning on the system, turn the search dial to its central
position.

Turn the search dial to the position for the desired playback speed and
direction.
A playback image appears at the speed corresponding to the position of the
search dial. The speed and direction of play are shown on the liquid crystal
display. The speed is shown to two decimal places in the range -1 to +1
times normal speed, to one decimal place in the range -10 to +10 times
normal speed, and as an integer outside the -10 to +10 range.
The dial has notches at -8, 0, and +8 times normal speed.

To end shuttle playback, return the search dial to the central position or
press the STOP button.
To return to normal speed playback
Press the PLAY button.
To alternate between normal speed playback and playback in shuttle mode
With the search dial in the position for the speed at which you want to play
back, press the PLAY and SHUTTLE buttons alternately to switch between
normal speed playback and shuttle mode playback. Again, by pressing the
STOP and SHUTTLE buttons alternately, you can play back intermittently in
shuttle mode.
