(OK).
A Text Entry dialog box opens and displays the default

where "xxxx" is an automatically incremented.

You can now change the material name. Use the Text Entry dialog box to
enter a new material name. The material name has a maximum length of
23 alphanumeric characters.
For details about how to enter text in a Text Entry dialog box, see Section 3-7-2,
"Text Entry Dialog Box" (page 3-44).

Press B7 (OK) to clear the program.
The new material name takes effect and the Text Entry dialog box closes.
Notes
• In order to cancel the clear program procedure, press B6 (Cancel) at Step 3 or
Step 5 to close the dialog box.
• If a material file already exists with the material name you choose in Step 4, a
dialog box opens to tell you that the material name you have chosen is
already in use. In this case you are not able to clear the program.
• The slash "/", percent "%", underscore "_", and dollar sign "$" are reserved
by the system. When modifying material names, never use "/" and do not use
"%", "_", or "$" as the first character.
Destination material (material currently being managed as a program) can be
assigned to the playback port from Material mode and played back like
ordinary material. However, if you assign destination material to a playback
port, you cannot add new edit points or modify existing edit points in Edit
mode. In order to do this, you must voluntarily unload all assigned destination
material.
For how to unload material, see Section 3-2-6, "Loading and Unloading Material"
(page 3-7).
