Entry in the Text Entry dialog box
In the Text Entry dialog box, use the following principles to enter a text string.
Entry method
• Enter the text string in the input buffer (the box above the character set) of
the Text Entry dialog box.
• Enter letters and symbols using the L11 (Type), the MULTI CONTROL
knob, and the B1 (Set) key.
Each time you press the L11 (Type) key, the character selection switches in
the following sequence: capitals → lowercase → symbols → capitals. Turn
the MULTI CONTROL knob to select the character you want to enter, then
press the B1 (Set) key (or press the MULTI CONTROL knob) to enter the
selected character at the cursor position in the input buffer.
• When one of the letter sets is displayed, holding down the SHIFT key allows
you to temporarily alternate between lowercase and uppercase characters.
• You can enter digits directly, using the L keys as a numeric keypad.
• Press B2 (Backspace) to delete the character to the left of the cursor.
• When there is a limit on the number of characters, it is not possible to enter
more than this number.
Confirming the text string
• To confirm the text string, press B7 (OK). This inputs the text string in the
input buffer, and closes the Text Entry dialog box.
To cancel the entry and return to the previous state (before you opened the
dialog box), press B6 (Cancel).
