not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions

CAUTION: The cooling fans are hot-swappable. To maintain proper cooling while the system is
on, replace only one fan at a time.
CAUTION: To ensure proper operation and cooling, you must replace a cooling fan within two
minutes of removal.
NOTE: You must remove a cooling fan to replace a faulty fan or service other components in the
system.
NOTE: The procedure for removing each fan is identical.
