Qj] REPLACE TIMING BELT
Bravo-Brava 1370 12v
Position the vehicle on a lift, then:
- disconnect the negative battery lead;
- remove the right front wheel;
- remove the right wheel arch liner to gain
access to the auxiliary shaft drive belt.
1. Loosen the auxiliary shaft drive belt ten­
sion acting on the centre nut for the auto­
matic tensioning device to release the
spring inside the actual device. Then re­
move the actual belt from the damper fly­
wheel leaving it fitted on the power steer­
ing pump pulley; it is not necessary to re­
move the upper shield for the power as­
sisted steering pump.
2. Remove the upper shield for the timing
drive belt after having removed the sup­
port for the coolant pipe.
3. Loosen the bolts fixing the damper fly­
wheel, then rotate the latter until the refer­
ence on it coincides with the reference on
the shield underneath. Then, remove the
damper flywheel.
4. Remove the lower timing belt lower
shield.
