DRIVABILITY TROUBLESHOOTING
Idle Speed Incorrect
Install 6-place Harness adaptor (HD-42962) and Breakout Box
using black connectors between connectors [88A] and [88B].

Place red meter lead in Pin 2 and Black meter lead in Pin 1.
Start engine.
Is battery voltage present?
YES
Replace auto enrichener.
Disconnect connector [88] to
carburetor. Check continuity
from pin 1 on connector [88]
to pin 3 on connector [10B].
Is continuity present?
YES
Reconnect connector
[10].
Is battery voltage
present on pin 1
(V/O) at connector
[88]?
YES
Locate and repair
Replace Ignition
short to voltage.

Use black male probe

and patch cord from harness
adaptor kit (HD-41404)

Locate and repair
open on
Violet/Orange
wire.
