Spittoon unit
Check the waste ink bottle
Check the level in the waste ink bottle by visual inspection to
overfl ow. If the waste ink level is as high as [FULL] indication label,
replace the bottle with an empty waste ink bottle.
See " Replace a waste ink bottle " on the page 82 .
Clean the carriage
Some lint soaked with ink may adhere to the head guard and to the both sides of the head top section. Perform
cleaning to remove such lint frequently. Remove it carefully as it may smear the printout's surface.
Wipe dust off the platen.

Pour the spittoon absorber liquid into the
spittoon case until the liquid level is as high as
the indication protrusions.
NOTE
- A few minutes after pouring the spittoon absorber
liquid into the spittoon case, the spittoon absorber
sponge absorbs the liquid and the liquid level is
lowered. In such a case, again add the spittoon
absorber liquid.
Set the Printer to offl ine state, and press the
key.
