To load media on the take-up reel unit
This section explains the procedure, taking in TENSION winding mode for instance.
Load a paper tube onto the scroller fl ange and scroller shaft.

Pass the scroller shaft through the roll spacer with fixtures at its
both sides, scroller flange, and flange shaft fixture.

(1) Insert the flange spacer
NOTE:
- To wind the media in LOOSE
winding mode, without inserting
the flange spacer, push the scroller
flange as far as it goes.

fasten the fixtures at the roll spacer's both sides.

(4) Push the flange shaft fixture as far
as it goes.
(5) Turn the knob to fix the scroller
shaft.
Check the flange
spacer's correct position.
The flange spacer should
be inserted to the
position indicated by the
line B.
Be careful not to deform
it by applying too much
force.
The roll spacer prevents the
paper tube from bending at
the center due to the media
weight.
