Assembling Notes
• For MFC: When attaching a new LCD back film on the control panel base, face the black
side of the film upwards.
• Before mounting the color LCD unit onto the control panel base, set the latch spring with its
convex section facing up, fitting its hole and cutout over the front and rear bosses of the
control panel base, respectively.
• A new color LCD unit is covered with a protection sheet. Before setting it, remove the
protection sheet.
• When mounting the color LCD unit, route the LCD flat cable and the touch panel harness
through the large square opening in the control panel base; route the grounding wire through
the left small square opening (viewed from the bottom). (See the illustration below.)
• After setting the color LCD unit back into place, wipe fingerprints or dust off the LCD surface
with a soft cloth.
• After mounting the scanner cover sensor actuator and the ink cartridge cover sensor actuator,
check that each actuator springs back if pressed with a finger.
• When mounting the control panel PCB ASSY, first set it below the two tabs (see the
illustration on page
"y."
• After mounting the control panel PCB ASSY, route the panel-main harness and touch panel
harness through the cable guides as shown below.
