Installing the Switch in a Rack

Installation Preparation
Check that the cabinet is well grounded and secured. Make sure the layout inside the rack for the
switch installation is done and there is no debris left inside or around the cabinet.
There is enough space around the cabinet for heat-dissipation.

Installing the mounting brackets
Attach the mounting brackets onto the left and right sides of the switch, as shown in Figure 3-2.

Installing the switch in the rack
Make sure a support tray is already installed on the rack for the switch before installing the switch in
the rack. The support tray should be sturdy enough to support the device weight.
Install the switch as lower as possible to lower the gravity center for the device.
