8.2 Battery
1. Remove battery from machine. (
(When storing with battery in machine, disconnect battery
ground cable.)
2. Check battery fluid level and add fluid as necessary.
3. Store battery in a dry, cool place.
Although battery can keep its charge for
about 6 months, it is recommended that it
be recharged before it completely dis-
charges for longer battey service life.

8.3 Engine

• Remove all fuel from carburetor and fuel
tank before storing machine for a long
period. Fuel in carburetor will deteriorate
if it is left unused for a long period, caus-
ing poor starting, or unstable running of
engine. Do not use fuel which has been
left unused for a long period.
• Refer to the operator's manual for the
engine for more details about long term
storage of engine.

Fuel Cock

1. Turn fuel cock to [CLOSE] to stop fuel supply.
