1 Before You Start

1.2 Preface

This WHG-505 User Manual is for WLAN service providers or network administrators to set up a network
environment using the WHG-505 system. It contains step-by-step procedures and graphic examples to guide MIS
staff or individuals with basic network system knowledge to complete the installation.
Besides this document, there is a "Quick Installation Guide" (QIG), which is for starting up WHG-505 quickly. It is
recommended to start with the QIG, and then refer to this manual for further details. Some special topics are
addressed separately in the Appendixes.
