Table of Contents

1) Remove the washers (1), bearings (2) and spacer

(3) from the crank balancer.

2) Remove the balancer gear (4) along with the

dampers (5) from the crank balancer.

3) Remove the dampers (5) from the balancer gear (4).

Assemble the crank balancer in the reverse order of

disassembly. Pay attention to the following point:

• Apply engine oil to the dampers.

• Apply engine oil to the bearings, spacer and washers.

Crank Balancer Inspection

Refer to "Crank Balancer Disassembly and Assembly

(Page 1D-72)".

Inspect the damper for wear and damage, replace it if

any defects are found.

Bearing and Washer

Inspect the bearings and the washers for wear or

damage. Replace the bearing or the washer if there is

anything unusual.
