Enter next zone number 
Each zone must be assigned a zone type, which defines the
way in which the system responds to faults in that zone. A
detailed explanation of each zone type is provided in
"Response Type Definitions" in the separate Programming
Guide.
Enter the desired zone type from the list below.
00 = Zone Not Used
01 = Entry/Exit #1
02 = Entry/Exit #2
03 = Perimeter
04 = Interior Follower
05 = Trouble Day/Alarm Night
When the display shows the zone type you want, press [ ] to
continue.
The report code consists of 2 hexadecimal digits, each
consisting of 2 numerical digits. For example, to enable a
report code, enter 03 for "3" and 00 in the 2nd digit. Refer to
Section 13: SYSTEM COMMUNICATION for complete
information on report codes, if necessary.
Enter the report code enable and then press [ ] to continue.
At the "Input Dev:" prompt, enter 2 (AUX Wired) as the
input device. The display on the left will appear.
Press [ ] to continue.
A summary display will appear, showing the data for the
zone that was just programmed. Note that AW indicates an
auxiliary wired (zone expansion module) zone.
If it is programmed satisfactorily, press [ ] to display the
next prompt.
For all zone types, the next request is to enter alpha
descriptors for the zones. You may make this entry now
(enter 1) or at a later time using
mode (enter 0). We recommend that you enter alpha
descriptors later using 82 menu mode.
See Section 11: ALPHA DESCRIPTOR PROGRAMMING
for specific procedure.
If you entered 0 (No) above, the system will display a prompt
for entry of the next wired expansion zone number. Proceed
with the programming for the next zone, as indicated
previously.
When you have programmed all wired expansion zones
satisfactorily, exit
56 mode at the "Enter Zn Num."
prompt by pressing 00 .
Exit the programming mode by keying 99.
Proceed to the checkout procedure that follows.
