Replacing the developing unit

After you replace the developing unit, you must set the replacement coun-
ter. Please refer to the instruction sheet supplied with a new developing
unit.
• Never burn or dispose of the developing unit in a fire. Doing so may cause burns due to scattered toner.
IMPORTANT
• Shake a new toner cartridge five to ten times before attaching it. After attaching it to the developing unit,
shake it gently.
• Dispose of the used developing unit according to local regulations.
• If you remove the toner cartridge with the toner unevenly distributed inside it (because the developing unit is
tilted, etc.), the toner may fly out. Gently shake the developing unit several times horizontally before removing
the toner cartridge to evenly distribute the toner inside the developing unit.
