Scanning

This section describes scanning operations.
For more detailed operations, refer to the
User's Guide on the included driver CD.
1. Change the mode
Press the mode change key to change to the scan
mode.
NOTE
The message "Scan protected" appears on the
LCD if scanning has been prohibited and the
machine will not change to the scan mode.
For details, refer to the User's Guide on the
included driver CD.

2. Load your document
l When loading the document on the ADF, load
with the side to be scanned facing up and the
top facing in.
l When loading the document on the docu-
ment glass, face the side to be scanned down,
aligned with the back left corner of the docu-
ment glass.
