5-16 FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY

THROTTLE BODY REASSEMBLY

Reassemble the throttle body in the reverse order of disassem-
bly. Pay attention to the following points:
• Apply thin coat of engine oil to the new O-ring.
• With the throttle valves fully closed, install the TP sensor 1
and tighten the TP sensor mounting screws.
NOTE:
* Align the throttle shaft end A with the groove B of TP sensor.
* Apply grease to the throttle shaft end A if necessary.

• Make sure the throttle valves smoothly open and close.
NOTE:
Don't push the throttle lever to TP sensor side. (Throttle valve
operating angle: fully opened - fully closed)
• Apply thin coat of engine oil to the new O-rings 2 and cush-
ion seals 3.
• Install the fuel injector 4 by pushing it straight to the delivery
pipe 5.
NOTE:
* Never turn the injector while pushing it.
* Align the coupler C of injector with boss D of the delivery
pipe.
• Install the fuel delivery pipe assembly to the throttle body.
NOTE:
Never turn the injector while pushing it.
• Tighten the fuel delivery pipe mounting screws 6 to the spec-
ified torque.

wrench (T25H)
5 N·m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.5 lbf-ft)
or equivalent
