Child Restraint Systems, Pregnancy
When you are using the child re-
straint, make sure it is secured
properly. Follow the instructions that
came with the child restraint system.
A child restraint that is not properly
secured does not protect your child
and can be dangerous. If you are
unsure of how to secure the system,
take it to your Acura dealer. He can
assist you.
According to accident statistics
provided to the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA), children are safer when
properly restrained in the rear
seating positions rather than the
front seat.
When you are not carrying your child
in the restraint, remove it from the
car. If you leave it in, make sure the
restraint is secured properly so it
cannot fly around in the event of an
accident.

Pregnancy

You should always wear the lap/
shoulder belt during pregnancy.
Position the lap portion as low as
possible on the hips, not across your
abdomen.
Ask your doctor if you can drive, and
about the best way to position the
lap/shoulder belt, each time you go
for a medical check-up.
