Wearing the Rear Seat Belts

Corner Seating Positions

1. Pull the latch plate across your
chest and snap it into the buckle.
Pull up on the shoulder belt to
remove any slack.

2. Check the seat belt to make sure it
is not twisted. Position the belt low
on your hips, not across your
abdomen.

Center Seating Position

Check the belt to make sure it is not
twisted.
1. Pull the latch plate across your
hips and snap it into the buckle
marked CENTER. The CENTER
buckle should be used only with
the lap belt.
If the belt is too short, hold the
latch plate at a right angle to the
belt and pull the latch plate.
