The air filter element should be re-
placed every 2 years or 30,000 miles
(48,000 km), whichever comes first.
Under severe driving conditions, it
should also be cleaned every 12
months or 15,000 miles (24,000 km),
whichever comes first.
Cleaning (Severe Conditions)
Follow the replacement procedure
for removal and reinstallation.
Clean the air cleaner element by
blowing compressed air through it in
the opposite direction to normal air
flow. If you do not have access to
compressed air (such as a gas
station), ask your Acura dealer to do
this service.

The air filter element is inside the
box on the passenger's side of the
engine compartment. To replace it:
1. Remove the two bolts.
2. Unsnap the four clamps holding
the filter housing cover.
3. Remove the bolt on the
resonanace chamber.
4. Remove the filter housig cover.
Do not disconnect the air intake
tube from the filter housing cover.

5. Clean the inside of the filter
housing cover with a damp rag.
6. Place the new air cleaner element
in the housing.
7. Reinstall the housing cover, snap
the four hold-down clamps back
into place.
8. Reinstall the three bolts.
