Audio System (L model)
The AUTO SELECT function allows
you to easily find radio stations when
you are traveling in an unfamiliar
area. To activate it, press and release
the AUTO SELECT button. The
system automatically scans the AM
and FM bands, finds the eight
strongest radio stations on each
band, and temporarily stores their
frequencies in the Preset buttons.
You can then use the Preset buttons
or the remote audio control to select
those stations.
If you are in a remote area, AUTO
SELECT may not find eight stations
to store. For example, if it finds five
strong stations on the FM band, they
will be stored in Preset buttons 1-5.
When you press Preset 6, 7, or 8, you
will see 0 in the frequency display.
AUTO SELECT does not erase the
frequencies you stored in the Preset
buttons manually. When you return
to your usual driving area, turn off
AUTO SELECT by pressing the
button.

You cannot manually store radio
station frequencies in the Preset
buttons when AUTO SELECT is ON.
If you do not like the stations found
by AUTO SELECT, you can still use
the TUNE or SEEK function to find
other stations.
