The LIVEPAGE

After the connection is established, the LIVEPAGE is initially displayed. It shows
the live video image on the right of the browser window. Depending on the
configuration, various text overlays may be visible on the live video image (see
Display stamping, page 53).
Other information may also be shown next to the live video image on the
Livepage. The display depends on the settings on the Livepage configuration
configuration page (see page 82).
Note
If the connection is not established, the maximum number of possible
connections may already have been reached. The maximum number of
connections depends on the device and network configuration.
Password protection in VIP X
If the VIP X is password-protected against unauthorized access, a
corresponding message and a prompt to enter the password will appear when
you attempt to access protected areas.
Note
A VIP X offers you the option of limiting access across various
authorization levels (see pages 36 and 50).
– Enter the user name and the associated password in the appropriate fields.
– Click OK. If the password is correct, the desired page is displayed.
Image selection
You can view the image from each camera individually on a full screen. If you
are using a VIP X2, you can display the camera images from both video inputs
next to one another (Dual Video).
– VIP X2 only: Click on one of the tabs above the video image to view one or
both of the camera images.
– Click on one of the MPEG-4 Stream 1, MPEG-4 Stream 2 or M-JPEG tabs
below the video image to switch between the different displays for the camera
image. On the VIP X2 this selection applies to both camera images.
