Motion detector
The VIP X has an integrated video sensor which can detect changes in the sig-
nal. Such changes are due primarily to movements in the camera's field of view.
You can configure the video sensor for any encoder, i.e. for any attached
camera individually.
The sensitivity of the video sensor can be adjusted, so that an alarm is genera-
ted only if specified values are exceeded. Various options for tamper protection
allow you to set the reaction to tampering with cameras and video lines.
In order for the sensor to function, the following conditions must be met:
The motion detector must be enabled.
At least one sensor field must be activated.
The individual parameters must be set for the operating environment and the
desired responses configured accordingly.
The sensitivity must be set to a value greater than zero.
Warning!
Reflections of light (off glass surfaces, etc.), switching lights on or off or
changes in the light level caused by cloud movement on a sunny day can
trigger unintended responses from the video sensor and generate false
alarms. Run a series of tests under day and night conditions to ensure that
