Configuring PoE Port Priority

Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to configure the priority of a PoE port on a
switch:

power inline port priority {high | low}

show power inline priority

copy running-config startup-config
This is an example of setting the power priority of a port to high so that it is one of the last ports to shut
down in case of a power failure.
Switch(config)# interface gigabitetherent1/0/1

Purpose
Enter global configuration mode.
Enter the interface ID of the port in the stack and enter interface
configuration mode. The interface must be a PoE port.
Set the power priority of the port to high or low. Powered devices
connected to low priority ports are shut down first in case of a
power reduction. The default is low priority.
Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Verify your entries.
(Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
