2-8 The Grand Tour
The display hinges hold the display screen at
easy-to-view angles.
The keyboard indicator panel provides icons to
let you monitor the caps lock, arrow mode and
numeric mode functions. Details are given later
in this chapter.
Press this button to launch an Internet browser.
If the computer's power is off, you can press this
button to turn on the computer's power and
launch the browser automatically in one step.
The speakers emit sound generated by your
software as well as audio alarms, such as low
battery condition, generated by the system.
A pointer control device located in the centre of
the keyboard is used to control the on-screen
pointer. Refer to the Using AccuPoint II section
in Chapter 4, Operating Basics.
Control buttons below the keyboard let you
select menu items or manipulate text and
graphics designated by the on-screen pointer.
These buttons are used to scroll windows. The
left button scrolls up; the right button scrolls
down.
