Procedure
Check for a firm connection between the
computer's serial port and the cable's 9-pin
connector.
Did you connect the mouse before turning on
the computer?
Is the Serial port option in Hardware Setup
or TSETUP program set properly?
Is your software configured to recognise the
mouse? Check the software documentation.
In Windows 98, set the Serial item in Power
Save Mode Properties to On.
Refer to the Power Saver Utility section in
Chapter 8, Setup and Password Security.
If problems persist, contact your dealer.
Procedure
Re-seat the PC card to make sure it is firmly
connected.
Make sure the connection between the external
device and the card is firm.
In Windows 98, set the PC card item in Power
Save Mode window in Power Saver to On.
Refer to the Power Saver Utility section in
Chapter 8, Setup and Password Security.
Check the card's documentation.
If problems persist, contact your dealer.
