This section guides you through the basic steps of using OmniPage
Limited Edition to scan and recognize text. See "Acquiring Scanned Text
into Your Word Processor" on page 8 for information on using
OmniPage Limited Edition from within other applications.
There are three basic steps:
• Click the Acquire Image button to scan a page.
• Click the OCR button to recognize text on the page.
• Click the Save As button to save the recognized text in your word
processor's file format.
1 Double-click the OmniPage Limited Edition icon in the Caere
Applications program group.
The program launches and the OmniPage Limited Edition
main window appears.
