Note:
Only one connection from each HP GbE2c switch to the HP ProCurve 2824 switch is required if

1.4.6.7 CPE with Rack-Mountable Servers

To connect to an external network from a rack-mountable server control node, connect a CAT5e
cable to the NIC2 port of the designated control node to the external network (such as a campus
network).

1.4.7 Cable Management Components

Depending on the interconnect type, and the models of servers installed, the CPE cluster contains
different types of brackets and straps for cable management. If it is necessary to remove a cable
management bracket to service a unit, reverse the installation instructions found in one of the
following bracket installation guides:

Note:
Cable management brackets are designed to support the interconnect cables during shipment.
HP recommends leaving the cable management brackets installed to help prevent cables from
being damaged, to provide proper strain relief, to maintain a four-inch minimum bend radius
for InfiniBand cables, and to help maintain good connections.
