Diagnostics Mode

To run the printer diagnostic tests described in this chapter, put the printer in Diagnostics Mode.
The tests display on the operator panel in the order shown:

ALIGNMENT
•
TOP FINE MAR ADJ
•
MISC TESTS
•
PRINT TESTS
•
HARDWARE TESTS
•
DUPLEX TESTS (if duplex is installed)
•
INPUT TRAY TESTS
•
OUTPUT BIN TESTS
•
FINISHER TESTS (if finisher is installed)
•
BASE SENSOR TEST
•
DEVICE TESTS (if optional flash or disk installed)
•
PRINTER SETUP
•
EP SETUP
•
ERROR LOG
•
Exit Diagnostics

Entering Diagnostics Mode

To enter the Diagnostics Mode:
1.
Turn the printer off.
2.
Press and hold the Go and Return buttons.
3.
Turn the printer on.
Release the buttons when Performing Self Test is displayed.
4.

Exiting Diagnostics Mode

Select Exit Diagnostics to exit the Diagnostics Mode and return to normal mode.
