When linking a configured virtual machine to a virtual L-Server, disk capacity can be increased for L-Servers that can operate servers
and disks.

The disks of which the disk capacity can be increased are system disks and data disks. Only disks created using virtual storage are the
targets of increase, and Raw Device Mapping (RDM), Pass-through Disks, and difference disks are not supported. When Raw Device
Mapping (RDM), a Pass-through Disk, or a difference disk is connected to the virtual L-Server disk, the disk capacity cannot be
increased even for disks created using virtual storage.

When a snapshot of an L-Server has been collected, it is not possible to increase the disk capacity.
[Hyper-V]
When a snapshot of an L-Server has been collected or difference disks are included, it is not possible to increase the disk capacity.

When a value including a decimal point is specified for the increase in capacity, SCVMM will automatically round the value up. Therefore,
when increasing the disk capacity for Hyper-V virtual L-Servers, specification of integers is recommended.

Depending on the type of guest OS, the OS may not recognize the increased disk capacity, or it may not be usable. Refer to the manuals
and technical references of the virtualization software, and confirm that use of increased disk capacity is possible.

Additional operations from the guest OS are necessary to make the guest OS recognize the increased disk capacity. For details of the
necessary operations, refer to the manual and technical references of each OS.

When the attributes (Thin Provisioning/Thick Provisioning) of disks and the attributes (Thin Provisioning/Thick Provisioning) of the
storage pools that the virtual storage those disks will use differ, a lack of sufficient disk capacity may be detected when processing is
performed using VM management software.
[Hyper-V]

Due to the specifications of SCVMM, when disk size is specified using a value including a decimal point, the value will automatically
be rounded up. Therefore, when deploying L-Platforms or L-Servers, or performing batch or simultaneous deployment, a lack of
sufficient disk capacity may be detected when deploying to SCVMM.

It is only possible to increase disk capacity when a virtual L-Server is in the powered off state. If a virtual L-Server is powered on,
the attempted operation will fail.
Increasing of disk capacity can only be performed using the rcxadm lserver modify command.
For details on the rcxadm lserver modify command, refer to "3.6 rcxadm lserver" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE".

17.3 Using the L-Server Console

This section explains how to use peripheral devices from an L-Server.
When installing an OS after creating an L-Server and performing L-Server maintenance, the L-Server console can be obtained.
When performing usual operations, or the console cannot be obtained, log in to an L-Server through the network.
