7.1 Overview
This chapter discusses using the NWA3000-N series AP in management mode,
which determines whether the NWA3000-N series AP is used in its default
standalone mode, or as part of a Control And Provisioning of Wireless Access
Points (CAPWAP) network.
7.2 About CAPWAP
The NWA3000-N series AP supports CAPWAP. This is ZyXEL's implementation of
the CAPWAP protocol (RFC 5415).
The CAPWAP dataflow is protected by Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS).
The following figure illustrates a CAPWAP wireless network. You (U) configure the
AP controller (C), which then automatically updates the configurations of the
managed APs (M1 ~ M4).
