When entering the characters during MD playback, the track
is pla!/ed repeatedly until ENTER is pressed in step 6.
6 Press ENTER.
When & EJECT is pressed to eject a disc, "TOC EDIT" is
displayed and the data concerning the contents of the editing
are registered.
Tb change a character
Press 41< or - repeatedly until the character to be changed
flashes. Then enter the desired character again.

Press <1< or > repeatedly until the character to be deleted
flashes. Then press 11.
To
inselrt a space between the characters
F'ress <1< or > repeatedly until the part to be entered as a
space flashes. Then press P.
To
add a character between two characters
First insert a space between two characters with +/- and
b-. ~hen change the space to the desired character by entering
it,

If the unit is left for one minute at steps 4 and 5, the character
entry m:)de is canceled.

You can divide a track into two parts by registering an index
mark.

Example:
To divide the fifth track into two parts at 2 minutes 30 seconcls.
- 2 minutes 30 seconds
Press MD and insert an MD.
During playback, press II at the point to be
divided.
Playback enters playback pause mode.
Press MD EDIT re~eatedlv until "Divide" is
displayed.
"Divide 5?" is displayed.
Within 10 seconds, press ENTER.
A 3-second part from the point pressed II is played repeatecily.
The point pressed 1I
Adjust the point to be divide with ~, ~ or
MULTIJOG referring the playback sound.
Press ENTER.
The index mark is registered and the track number advances
by one. At the same time, all the succeeding track numbers
advance by one.
Press N .
Playback stops.
When A EJECT is pressed to eject a disc, "TOC EDIT is
displayed and the data concerning the contents of the editing
are registered.

s A track can not be divided in the following cases:
- when an inserted disc already contains 254 tracks.
- when elapsed time is displayed as 0:00.
