same name. You can identify the IP address used by each port by clicking each item in
the tree and observing the IP address area in the right pane.
Note: If you connect a storage system to the network after the Console has already
scanned it, or if you subsequently change the IP address of the storage
system, you must click Discover Storage Systems to scan the network again
and update the tree in the left pane.
If no storage system appears in the left pane, your computer might not be in
the same subnet as the storage system. Be sure to install the Console on a
computer in the same subnet as the storage system and try again.
2. In the left pane, select the name of the storage system that you want to access (for
example, Storage), and then click Log On Storage System Manager.
If your storage system uses both available ports to connect to the network, you can
select either item.
3. If your storage system has not yet been initialized, the System Initialization page
appears. For more information, refer to the next section,
If your storage system been initialized but not yet configured, the welcome page for

If your storage system has been initialized and configured, the login page for the
Manager appears. For more information, refer to
page 27.
Once you have installed the Console (as described in
page 27), started it, and connected to the storage system (as described in
Console" on page 19), the System Initialization page appears.
If not all the hard disks have been detected, or if you want to add, remove, or re-order the
disks at this time, insert or remove the disks one at a time and click Scan after each action.
