To power up the storage system, insert the power cable into the power outlet on the back
of the storage system and plug the other end into a power socket.

Once you have connected the power cord, press the power button on the front of the
storage system (see letter "A" in the following figure).

The System Status LED light will blink green while the storage system is booting up.
Once the system has finished booting up, the System Status LED and Disk Status LED
will remain green.
The System Status LED will turn solid yellow when you power up the system for the first
time, indicating the hard drives are not configured with a RAID level. It will remain
yellow until the drives are configured then the Status System LED will turn solid green.

If your vendor installed the hard disks in your system, they might have already been
initialized. (That is, the operating system and other software might have already been
installed on the hard disks.) However, if your vendor did not initialize the disks, you must
do so before you can configure and use your storage system.
To determine whether or not your vendor initialized the disks, and to initialize them if this
has not already been done, you must install the Storage System Console on a computer in
the same subnet as your storage system and use that application to connect to the storage
system.
