D. Media Feed
1. Cut Sheet Feed
About 1.5 seconds after cut sheet media is inserted in the media inlet, and the cut sheet detection sensor
(PS1) and cut sheet trailing edge detection sensor (PS7) turn ON simultaneously, the X-axis motor rotates
to start to feed the cut sheet media.
At the same time, media width and media skew are detected by the media sensors on the carriage, and
media length and media feed errors are detected by the sensors along the media feed path.
When the media has been fed, the printer stops the leading edge of the media at the print standby position,
and stands by for transfer of data from the computer.
