3. Defective Cut Detection
When cutting heavy media, or the cutter blade
is blunt, defective cutting might place a load on the
cutter. If this happens, the torque limitter on the
cutter is canceled and the cutter automatically rises.
This is to prevent the carriage from stopping during
cutting and to prevent printed media from jamming.
When the cutter has risen up, this is detected by
cutter sensor (PS13) and an error code [42] is
displayed on the control panel.
