Remove the Y cutter.

Remove the linear encoder. (See page 3-9.)

Remove Y-axis motor. (See page 3-40.)
4) Remove tension screw @ and washer @).
5) Remove 3 screws @) to remove pulley cover @,
and remove carriage drive belt © from the left
pulley mount ©.

CAUTION
«When the carriage unit is removed, take
care not to let the driving belt touch any
component on the platen.
*Don't hold paper sensors at the bottom
and left side of the carriage unit by hand.

* When the carriage unit is installed in the
printer, press down the carriage roller

Remove screw @ and remove earth plate (left)
under the cutter rail as shown in Figure 3-
©.

Remove 5 screws
© and remove memory wire
* After the carriage is installed, adjust the
installation mount (left) (0 and left pulley mount
tension of the carriage driving belt. (Refer
to page 5-4).
* After the carriage has been installed, ad-
just the gain and light intensity of the
media sensor.(Refer to pages 5-7 and 5-
8).
