CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off
the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord.
To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from
the power source.
Attention:
• Read "Installation Guidelines" on page 37

• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
node; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
a. Make sure that the power input board module is already installed in place (see

Step 2. Connect the cables between the power module board and power input board (see

Attention: For a smooth installation, connect the cables between the power module board and
power input board module BEFORE installing the power module board.
Step 3. Install the power module board and the cable wall.
a. Align the power module board with the guide pins; then, place the power module board into
place and tighten the two screws by the sidewall of the node.
b. Place the cable wall into its position on the power module board; then, tighten the two
screws.
Important: Make sure to place the pull tape of the power module board beneath the cable
wall away from the DIMM slots. Otherwise, it may interfere with the memory modules and
cause system failure.
