4.4 Checking the performance data

This check is performed on the heat pump manager.
The volume flows can be read off from the built-in pumps, for
example.
NOTE
It is essential that the flow rate is above the minimum heating
water flow of 3.4 m³/h.
Typical flow rates are 7-10 m³/h.
The temperatures can be checked on controller -N1.
These checks can be performed in heating and cooling opera-
tion.
To be able to set the heat pump to heating/cooling opera-
tion, the building management system must have issued a
request. If no request has been issued, the request signal
for heating or cooling can be issued by setting electrical
bridges on the heat pump manager. The terminal points re-
quired to do this can be found in the relevant electrical
documentation.

4.5 Heating operation (autumn test)

NOTE
This test must be performed immediately before or during the
heating season (autumn test).
NOTE
This test must be performed separately for each heat pump.
4.5.1 Defrosting
The defrosting can be initiated manually as follows:
Set controller -N1 to the after-sales service level, go to the
"Special functions" menu and select the "Abtauung" (Defrost-
ing) sub-menu, and manually start the defrosting process.
After monitoring the flow rate, the defrosting will be started by
reverse circulation, provided that the minimum temperatures
have been exceeded.
Whilst the defrosting is in progress, monitor the flow and return
temperatures and check that they are plausible. The values for
the flow temperature must be lower than the return tempera-
ture.

4.6 Cooling operation (spring
NOTE
This test must be performed immediately before or during the
cooling season (spring test).
NOTE
The outside temperature must be > 15°C.
NOTE
This test must be performed separately for each heat pump.
NOTE
Test in cooling operation:
In the "Settings" menu level, go to the "1st heating/
(cooling)circuit" sub-menu level and set the "Dynamic cooling
return set temperature" to the minimum value.
Start the heat pump to be tested in cooling operation.
Read off the volume flow on the pump.
Read off the operating data for the return and flow temper-
ature on controller -N1.
The values for the flow temperature must be lower than the
return temperature.
4.7 Steps to take after completing
Reset the settings of controller -N1 back to their original
values.
