Parking Brake Assembly Replacement

Parking Brake Assembly Removal
Chassis: Service and Repairs
5. Install the RH handle assembly. Using a 9/16 inch socket, install the 2 (3/8
inch) bolts to secure the RH handle assembly to the motion control assembly.
6. Connect the battery by installing the positive cable first, then the negative
cable to the battery.
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the PTO. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key. Engage the
parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative cable first, then the positive
cable from the battery.
3. Using a floor jack, raise the rear of the machine and secure it with jack stands.
4. Using a 1/2 inch socket, remove the 2 (5/16 inch) nuts and carriage bolts
securing the rear of the seat to the chassis.
5. Lift the seat forward and disconnect the seat pressure switch from the wire
harness.

7. Using a T40 torx driver, remove the 2 (5/16 inch) bolts securing the LH pod
tube to the chassis.
8. Using a T40 torx driver, remove the 2 (5/16 inch) bolts securing the LH
mounting bracket to the chassis.
9. Remove the pin securing the parking brake linkage to the handle and
disconnect the parking brake linkage from the parking brake handle.

10. Using a 9/16 inch wrench, remove the (3/8 inch) bolt and nut securing the
parking brake handle to the chassis. Remove the handle.
