12. Disconnect the vent hose at the engine.
Note: Cap off the fuel lines.
13. Remove the (10 mm) nut securing the positive connector to the starter.

14. Using a 1/2 inch socket, remove the 5/16 inch bolt securing the engine ground
to the engine crankcase. For Briggs engines, using a 7/16 inch socket,
remove the 1/4 inch bolt securing the engine ground to the engine crankcase.

15. Using a floor jack, raise the rear of the machine and secure with jack stands.
