Engine Removal
Engine: Service and Repairs
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the PTO. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key. Engage the
parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative cable first, then the positive
cable from the battery.
3. Using a 1/2 inch wrench, remove the 2 (5/16 inch) nuts securing the lower
portion of the muffler guard to the chassis.
4. Using a T40 torx driver and a 1/2 inch wrench, remove the 2 (5/16 inch)
screws/nuts securing the muffler guard to the rear guard assembly. Remove
the muffler guard.

5. Using a T40 torx driver and a 1/2 inch wrench, remove the 4 (5/16 inch)
screws/nuts securing the left and right sides of the rear guard assembly.
